Our 4x4 vehicles in the desert
Frequently Asked Questions
Our vehicles are modern, air-conditioned 4x4s with comfortable seating for up to 6 passengers. Each passenger has a window seat for excellent views. The vehicles are equipped with good suspension to handle the desert terrain as smoothly as possible.
The ideal time is from October to April when temperatures are mild and pleasant. Summer months (June-August) can be extremely hot, though early morning and evening drives are still possible. We adjust departure times according to season to ensure the most comfortable experience.
On multi-day tours from Marrakech, the first and last day involve 6-7 hours of driving with frequent stops. Days in the desert typically include 2-4 hours of actual driving, broken up with activities, photo stops, and relaxation time. We aim to balance scenic driving with plenty of time to experience the desert environment.
While desert driving involves some bumpy tracks, our experienced drivers prioritize safety and passenger comfort. They are specially trained for desert navigation and know the terrain intimately. The vehicles are equipped with safety features and communication equipment for emergencies.
No, our insurance and permits require that only our professional drivers operate the vehicles. This ensures your safety and compliance with local regulations. However, you'll have plenty of opportunity to experience the thrill of desert driving from the passenger seat.
In the desert, we stay at permanent or semi-permanent camps with private tents equipped with proper beds, clean bedding, and shared bathroom facilities. These camps offer a good balance of comfort and authentic desert experience. In cities, we use 3-4 star hotels with standard amenities.
